- Boston Consulting Group – Milan Headquarters
CoeLux contributed to the illumination of key interior spaces at the Boston Consulting Group headquarters in Palazzo Mengoni, a historic building in the heart of Milan. The heritage structure, designed by Giuseppe Mengoni in 1873, features central areas with no access to natural light — a challenge that CoeLux technology addressed by bringing the experience of daylight into enclosed environments.
Working closely with the design team, the intervention transformed meeting rooms and office areas in the building’s core into bright, welcoming spaces. Each room features a CoeLux 45 LC system, positioned to project sunlight onto the wall opposite the entrance, creating depth and a realistic window effect. Light-toned finishes and natural elements, including green walls, further enhance the connection to nature and occupant well-being.
In total, 10 CoeLux 45 LC units were installed across similar office spaces, while a CoeLux 45 HC system was placed at the elevator lobby and access turnstiles. In this transitional area, the skylight effect opens up the space, providing a warm, expansive welcome for visitors and employees.
The combination of CoeLux 45 LC and CoeLux 45 HC delivers an authentic sky and sunlight experience, improving comfort, productivity, and visual appeal — perfectly suited to environments where natural daylight is absent, yet human-centric design is a priority.
